What is Friihday?

Friihday is a simple, unique, employee engagement survey that runs once a week. It has been designed to focus on personal performance and mental health and well-being. It allows individuals to track their progress and report issues. It enables leaders to collect data and start conversations, in order to improve the organisation.

What’s the advantage of a weekly survey?

Real time reporting, which reflects what is happening now and makes people and organisations more responsive to issues and needs.

Is it confidential?

Yes. We only send individual results to that person. The combined results (for everyone) are only sent to specific individuals in the organisation and only report on combined responses. No individuals are named, or identified. Also, the system does not report some of the combined results with less than 3 responses, so individuals cannot be identified by default.

What do I get out of it?

In the survey there are interesting quotes and coaching questions, so you have things you can use and share right away. Your individual results allow you to see your personal trend lines, and these tend to nudge people to update unhelpful habits and celebrate success.

How does it work?

Friihday is very simple. We email you with a link to the survey each week. When you click on the link the questions open in a browser. You can answer one/some/all questions (you choose) and you can close the browser window at any time. Your answers are logged each time you push a button.

How long will it take me to answer the survey?

It only takes 1 minute to answer a few questions and maybe 3-to-5 minutes to answer all of them. The time depends on how quickly you answer. The survey has been designed to be simple, friendly and easy to use.

Can I use my mobile phone?

Yes. Friihday has been designed to work with PCs too. Why does Friihday ask specific questions? We have designed Friihday to ask things that are the most relevant to people in organisations, based on experience, research and psychology. If you would like your Friihday to ask a particular question please contact us.

Is Friihday the same every week?

Not exactly. The core questions need to repeat, so that your organisation can see trends over time. However, there are also unique questions every week and the quotes and coaching questions are different too.

Do I have to do it every week?

No, you don’t have to do it any week. Your organisation would like you to do it and to be engaged with it though. If you can do it every week, that’s great and we encourage you to do it most weeks. The idea is to show a moving trend, so weekly data helps to capture this. Of course, if you’re on holiday then that is okay! You can skip a week and enjoy your break.

Do I have to be honest?

Absolutely. Your organisation is using Friihday to support mental health and well-being, track performance, have useful conversations and keep developing. If you mess about, then your own results will be worthless and you will be disrupting things for other people too. Even if you don’t like it, please think about other people, and play fair.

Do I have to do the survey the second I see the email?

No. However, we do suggest you complete the survey the same day you get the link, or at least the morning after. You can also do it over the weekend, or on Monday up to 5.00pm.

Why do you report a few weeks of information and not a whole year?

We use a ‘rolling reporting’ system to ensure that people see current and relevant trends and do not feel swamped with information. We can produce reports based on all weeks, or on specific time periods, on request.

If I say I’m unhappy, will my Boss be able to pick on me?

No. The results are confidential and no names are reported, only the overall combined results.

Do you talk about me to my Boss?

No. We provide the Business Friihday engagement survey and send out the results. Only you see your personal results. Senior leaders see the combined corporate results and we see these too, as part of our quality control work. We do not tell your boss who has completed the survey each week and they are not able to relate data points to specific individuals.

Can I show my results to people?

Yes. Your individual results are confidential to you. If you want to share them, then that is your choice and your responsibility.

Why won’t my Boss show me the combined results?

We send the combined results to specific people and these results are confidential to them. If they won’t show you, then that’s their decision and you’re welcome to talk to them about it.

What happens if I leave my organisation?

When they inform us we will delete your email address from our database. If you would like to keep doing Friihday then you’re welcome to contact us yourself and join as a Guest, free of charge.
